Celebrating Our Growing Client Community at the 2021 Copperleaf Summit
The 2021 Copperleaf® Summit wrapped up after three successful days of thought leadership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing! With over 500 virtual registrants from the energy, water, and transportation industries around the world, the Summit broke yet another record and highlighted the value our Community gets from networking, sharing knowledge, and learning from their industry peers.
While we connect with our clients and partners every day, the Copperleaf Summit gives us the opportunity to share our product roadmap, client success stories, and sneak peeks into our newest innovations.
Copperleaf has become the gold standard for virtual summits in my opinion! Hopefully, next year we’ll be meeting face-to-face again!

The action-packed agenda included Copperleaf CEO Judi Hess’ “State of the Nation” keynote which addressed timely subjects such as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and stakeholder capitalism, as well as several client-led sessions including:
- Bonneville Power Authority (BPA) on how Performance Prediction is helping increase forecast accuracy and predict portfolio performance
- Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) on how interactive dashboards improve holistic data visibility
- Ameren Illinois on usability improvements through Investment Capture

Panel Discussion: Addressing Climate Change
Phil Jones, Copperleaf Global VP Sales and Business Development, led two panel discussions on the challenges and effects of climate change. Guest speakers from Endeavour Energy, Allianz, Guidehouse, National Grid, Anglian Water, and AES, discussed the impacts of climate change on their organizations, the steps they are taking to mitigate it, and how to get started on tackling these challenges. Innovator of the Year
The crowning of the Copperleaf Community “Innovator of the Year” is always an exciting event because attendees vote live to select the winner! Voters choose which organization is doing the most ground-breaking and innovative work with the Copperleaf Decision Analytics Solution. The 2021 finalists were:
- Project: Asset Management with Systems Thinking
- Project: Alberta Thermal Implementation
- Project: Reporting Dashboards for Asset Status Analysis
A finalist for the past two years, TVA was crowned this year’s winner! TVA leveraged Copperleaf’s Reporting and Visualization Interface (RVI) to pull together asset data that was spread across multiple systems and create interactive, one-stop-shop dashboards. This innovation enables the TVA team to verify that they are tackling key risks across their portfolio of assets. Congratulations TVA!

Through the hard work of the Copperleaf Community Advisory Board and our team, the Summit was a huge success, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year! Believe it or not, planning for a hybrid (fingers crossed!) 2022 event is about to get started!
