Employee Feature: Meet the Talent Acquisition Team!
Meet our Talent Acquisition team—a global team distributed across Canada, Singapore, and the UK. In this article, they share some insights on our hiring process, culture, and what it’s like working at Copperleaf.
What does the Talent Acquisition team do?
Rochelle: “Talent Acquisition collaborates with our internal teams to understand their hiring needs and help match them with the right talent—both internally and externally—to build exceptional teams. We’re often the first point of contact candidates have with Copperleaf so we do our best to be open, honest, and communicative at every stage of the hiring process.”
Can you tell us about your professional background and what led you to Copperleaf?
Greg: “I’ve been working in software sales recruiting for over 10 years. I had been following the success of Copperleaf and was eager to work with a leading transformational company.”
Samuel: “As a UBC student, I completed a 12-month co-op term at Copperleaf before joining the Talent Acquisition team full-time. What attracted me to the company was its work helping clients deliver on their ESG goals—as sustainability and social impact are important to me. I also appreciate the many opportunities for learning and collaboration, which has continued to support my professional development.”
My advice to candidates is to ask us anything that’s important to you in making a decision to join Copperleaf—your questions are just as important as ours!

How do you strive to provide a positive experience to candidates?
Danielle: “I like to help candidates get a sense of our culture and working environment, and provide information they’re unable to source online, such as:
- what a typical day on the job might look like
- an outline of the interview process, estimated timelines, and next steps
- answers to any questions or concerns they might have”
Copperleaf’s culture embraces being agile and open. This means that every week at work may look different and there are always opportunities to contribute your own ideas.

What does Copperleaf’s culture look like?
Emma: “Growth, collaboration, and personal development are all at the heart of our culture. For example, I worked with my team lead to figure out how my interests and skills could best benefit our growing team and company. Ultimately, I love the people side of the business and have been encouraged and supported in my transition to the Employee Experience team.”
Samuel: “Copperleaf’s culture embraces being agile and open. This means that every week at work may look different and there are always opportunities to contribute your own ideas.”
Angela: “Our culture encourages me to provide exceptional value and extraordinary experiences to internal and external stakeholders, build strong relationships, and work hard to do the best I can. Most importantly, there is always space to learn and improve.”
One of Copperleaf’s cultural tenets is to always improve. What steps are we taking to improve Diversity, Equity and Inclusion?
Rochelle: To build an exceptional team, it’s essential that we have DE&I integrated into our talent acquisition processes. Copperleaf has a flexible work environment that allows people to carve out a schedule that works for them and we’re always open to a candidate’s questions and requests to support their work, life, and family integration. Partnering with underrepresented groups is key to moving the needle on diversity in tech and joining BC Tech’s Digital Lift Internship program to upskill individuals from underrepresented groups is great start to contribute to this movement.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Emma: “Hanging out with my two little people is at the top of my list. Recently, we’ve been exploring the beauty of our homeland of Scotland!”
Greg: “I love being outdoors, and spending time with my two daughters and extended family.”
Danielle: “I spend most of my free time with my family which includes my husband and our two furkids (puppies). My ideal day is taking our dogs to the park to socialize and play with other pups, followed by a relaxing dinner with my husband.”
