Feature Article: Lucy’s Mill Bridge
Copperleaf’s pro bono project in conjunction with the Operational Research (OR) Society and the Friends of Lucy’s Mill Bridge (FoLMB) Community Interest Company (CIC) was featured in the July/August 2020 issue of Inside OR magazine.
In June 2019, Pro Bono OR advertised an urgent call for volunteers to evaluate the benefits of adapting Lucy’s Mill Bridge, an ancient footbridge in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, to make it accessible to all and help persuade the local authority to include this accessibility project in their strategy.
Copperleaf answered this call, developing a Value Framework to quantify the social, environmental, and economic benefits of upgrading the bridge, and performing a cost-benefit analysis of the various investment options.
